Georgetown, Guyana - Several schools recorded victories in the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport/National Sports Commission/Al Sport and Tour promotions Easter term Windball tournament played last weekend at National Park.
In the U-13 division, Institute of Professional Education (IPE) went down to North Georgetown Secondary by nine wickets. IPE batted first and scored 44-5 while North Georgetown replied with 45-1 with Shane Persaud scoring 17.
Dolphin Secondary beat Tucville by six wickets. Dolphin scored 60-4 before restricting Tucville for 40-4.
In the Male U 19 category, Queenstown Secondary overcame Monar Educational Institute by two runs. Queenstown managed 60-5 batting first with Vickram Chandranad scoring 29 and Aikeen Jorden 14. Monar Educational Institute scored 58-4 in response.
Saint Joseph got the better of Electra’s Institute by six wickets. Electra Institute took first strike and posted 31-2. Travis Persaud scored 24. Saint Joseph made 34-4 in reply.
Tucville Secondary lost to IPE by nine wickets.
Tucville Secondary mustered 37-8 taking first strike. IPE responded with 38-1; Kevin Rogubhir stroked 20.
Dolphin went down to Friendship Secondary by eight wickets. Dolphin scored 43-5 taking first knock while Friendship reached their target losing two wickets in the process ending on 44-2.
