Talented young Essequibo cricketer gets support from Police

Georgetown, Guyana - Joshua Jones, the 15-year-old Cotton Field Secondary School student and promising opening bowler, received a pair of Holden boots and batting gloves from the management of G Division police during a simple ceremony on Friday last.

Head of G Division, Kevin Adonis acknowledged Jones’ talent through cricket and encouraged him to aspire for excellence. Adonis mentioned that Jones, who is a member of the police youth group in Lima Sands and also a student, of the Cotton Field Secondary. Jones, who played for an under-17 team, will be playing a fifty over’s game tomorrow in Trinidad.

The opening bowler of the PSID thanked the senior ranks of the Essequibo police for their kind gesture.
